Subject: Peace, Blessings, and Greetings
Peace and Blessings Nazirmoreh (ABRD),
I just wrote a long e-mail that was somehow lost. This is not my favored medium for communication; yet i suppose it is the best in light of the move of the Veil of Truth from Ponce de Leon Street. There is a saying
that you don't miss your water until the well runs dry. The Veil of Truth had become an institution in New Orleans which many will miss.
There are many things that have taken place in my life over the last five weeks. The most significant has been the passing of my Mother on November 6, 1999. We did the Homegoing celebration on Friday and Saturday of this past weekend. It was very beautiful. My Mother was 80 years of age and had 53 grand, great-grand, and great great-grand children, all from five children. I give thanks.
During the week of the retreat, my Mother was in the hospital for two weeks in intensive care. It was the primary reason that I did not attend the Nazir Monastic Community retreat. One day i will visit.
Thanks to Nazirmoreh (ABRD) for the services of the Nazir Monastic Community and the many blessings bestowed on the New Orleans community. May Nazirmoreh (ABRD) continue to keep us in love and prayer.
